Well here it is, my first official blog entry!
To be honest, im not entirely sure about the whole blog thing, even as i sit here and type my first ever blog entry. I joined up earlier this year byt my blog has sat stagnant, waiting for me to actually do something with it. Dont get me wrong - i love to write. Have always been a writer and have kept journals on and off throughout my 27 and a halfísh year life! But the whole concept of putting it out there for whoever wants to read it well...that's new to me.
I guess to me the whole blogging concept seems a little self involved. I mean...i love my life. I think it's pretty good these days. Does everyone else really want to read about it though?! I have read some pretty impressive blogs in my time...people living crazy adventure filled lives jet setting here there and everywhere, or doing something meaningful and noteworthy that other people would actually anjoy reading about. Im not sure whether my life quite measures up, or whether anyone is going to get excited over my blog! But hey, a good friend and fellow blogger (now that i guess im officially a "blogger") told me to blog for myself, noone else...so...guess this is me giving it a crack. If noone reads it or follows it, so be it...that's not really why we are all here...(is it?!). Nothing ventured nothing gained and all that. Apparently its great writing practice too, according to the creative writing teacher at the writing workshop i went to last weekend.
So, a few facts about me for my first post....
* Im 27 and a halfísh years old, as previously noted above.
* Live in Brisbane, Australia (not where i grew up) with my better half, 2 crazy rescue kittens and a whale-like goldfish.
* Career - totally mundane at the moment and in need of change, i will probably blog about this alot!
* Interests - many and varied.
* Dislikes - also many and varied.
* Life Goals - will discuss these down the track.
Actually...lets leave it there with the facts. I actually want to have something to blog about down the track!I'll leave it there for now, and hopefully I will be back later with some insightful thoughts. But for now, a picture....
This is one of my favourite photos in my album. I took it in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania last July. I still remember how i felt as i watched the sun go down that evening...like i was a million miles away from my life and from the rest of the world. It was one of those moments in your life that you wish you could freeze, so that you could go back later and feel the exact same feelings you did right then. But life goes on...and that in itself is a beautiful thing.

Hey welcome! I just started blogging too, it's a great stress reliever. I thought it was weird at first too but I really enjoy reading about other people's lives and I was surprised to find how much I related to other people's stories.
